New

Attachment Consortium
The
New York Attachment Consortium
is an association
of New York metropolitan area developmental and clinical psychologists
and psychiatrists working to advance attachment theory and research
in the Bowlby-Ainsworth tradition.
Consortium
participants include faculty from Adelphi University's Derner Institute
for Advanced Psychological Studies, The City University of New York,
The State University of New York at Stony Brook, and the Yale Child
Study Center.
The
Consortium is engaged in a wide range of research on attachment
assessment, parent-child interaction, and mechanisms of stability
and change. It also supports graduate and post-graduate level training
at participating institutions. We meet regularly to design and report
on attachment behavior, parent-child interaction, and the therapeutic
process.
In
addition, the Consortium hosts conferences to increase
interaction between experienced clinicians and leading developmental
researchers, and is currently working on the use of digital technology
to develop and distribute materials that advance mental health through
education and clinical intervention.
