Board of Directors
The Center for Mental Health
Promotion is a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization established to advance
healthy psycho-logical functioning in children and families.
The Center’s projects are designed to advance understanding
and increase the availability of information about development,
prevention, and intervention to families, communities, and mental
health professionals, especially where this can benefit children
at risk.
Many of the Center’s activities are conducted or coordinated
through the New York Attachment Consortium. The Center supports
Consortium initiated research, graduate and post-graduate training
opportunities, and conferences/workshops that increase interaction
between clinicians and leading developmental researchers. The Center also supports a variety of digital media projects to develop and
distribute materials that advance mental health through education
and clinical intervention. The Center also works with local schools
to develop programs that facilitate children’s social and
emotional development.
