The purpose of this multivariate models grant is to assess the overlap between physical aggression toward a child and physical aggression toward a parent. In addition, the research is to evaluate the role of different domains of variables in predicting  physical aggression toward a partner and toward a child. Such variables include attitudes condoning use of physical aggression toward children and toward partners, coercive behaviors, general levels of anger and hostility, psychological aggression,  heart rate acceleration during observation of  conflicts between parents and conflicts between parents and children, alcohol use/abuse.
