Krystal Ortiz, BA

I graduated from Stony Brook University in December 2008. I began working with FTRG in early 2007 as an undergraduate research assistant coder for the Berkeley Puppet Interview (BPI). As an undergraduate I was offered a paid position with the lab to supervise other BPI coders. Since then I have been given the opportunity to learn other coding systems, including the Rapid Marital Interaction Coding System (RMICS). All of my duties revolve around coding. In my spare time I enjoy being a member of the Stony Brook Gospel Choir, catching up on my new favorite TV show Bones, and working with young children at my church. I hope to eventually obtain an MSW and work with foster children.
