Ava Berman, BA
I am a recent graduate of Hunter College’s Class of 2009 and am thrilled to be joining the FTRG team! At Hunter, I was a student in the Macaulay Honors College and completed a dual degree in psychology and anthropology. As an undergraduate, I worked at the New York University Child Study Center as a project intern on Dr. Jeane-Marie Bruzesse’s ‘Asthma: It’s a Family Affair!’ middle school intervention study. The study is working to improve parent-child relations around the management of adolescent asthma. My work on the study enabled me to engage a great deal with parent-child pairs and I am excited to continue to interact with families at FTRG. In 2007 I taught English in Quito, Ecuador and studied abroad in Kassel, Germany. I am currently teaching myself how to play guitar! I also love cooking, biking, and exploring cultural events in NYC.
