The Child and Family Studies minor (CFS) focuses on the child's development and its role in the family and in the wider society. Theoretical and practical issues will be explored from an interdisciplinary perspective. Students will complement course work and observations with directed work in campus child care centers and other approved facilities. The CFS minor also supports the option of preparation for certification as a Child Life specialist.
